CASH FOR MUSICIAN - 26th March 2004

Oboist Amy White has had a
welcome boost of £250 from the Shepshed Building Society towards
her tour with the National Scout and Guide Symphony Orchestra.
The 14 year old, who is a member of the
Sixth Shepshed Rangers, is set to travel to Estonia to perform with
60 other members of the Scouts and Guides. Amy is the only member
of the organisation to be chosen from the county.

SOCIETY RIGHT ON TUNE WITH SINGERS - 16th January 2004

Shepshed Singers have had their
funds topped up with a hefty sponsorship donation from the Shepshed
Building Society. At a special presentation at St Botolph's Church
in the town, chief executive Greg Williamson handed over a cheque
for £500.
Liz Twitchell from
the Singers, said the money will go towards covering costs. "They
have been sponsoring us for a couple of years and the money is always
most welcome" she said.

SCHOOL JOY AT BENCH DONATION - 17th October 2003

The play scheme at the Glenmore Community Centre has had a cash
boost of £300 donated by the Shepshed Building Society.
In a ceremony held at the centre, the chief executive Greg Williamson
handed over the money to youngsters taking part in a music workshop,
just one of the activities on offer at the centre throughout the summer
holidays.

PROMS NIGHT FUNDING GIVEN TO ROTARIANS - 8th August 2003

The main sponsors of the annual Open Air
Summer Proms, The Shepshed Building Society, has handed over £700
for the event.
In a ceremony at the Quality Hotel in Loughborough,
the Rotary Club of Shepshed's President, Richard Minifle and member
David Betts received the cheque from the chief executive of the
building society, Greg Williamson.
